They took down one of our best fighters against Trump with mostly anonymous complaints

...mostly unbelievable complaints, at that. At the very least, this should have been buttressed by a dual call for the resignation of the POTUS for his own 'admitted' crimes against women.

What happens next should be obvious to all. Republicans will continue to deny wrongdoing and evade accountability, still in power, still crafting legislation and advancing Trump's dismantling of democracy.

The right-wing has to be overjoyed. This is a formula that has worked since Iran-Contra failed to bring down Reagan-Bush, and has been a standard of republican politics since Democrats failed to hold Bush Jr. accountable for tortures, renditions, and for his lies leading the nation to war in Iraq (the consequences, a continued war).

We paid with 'Benghazi' investigations, and a phony email investigation which were allowed to mushroom as Democrats allowed both undue legitimacy, and even encouragement from some of our quarters, in the case of Hillary's emails.

If this latest self-immolation isn't part of a larger strategy of zero-tolerance for more than just our own party members, it will turn out to be a dagger in the back of every other attempt to hold republicans and their WH accountable, at least for the foreseeable future.

Might have been the most destructive thing they could have done to the base and the party. If you think we are all fools who just follow wherever they decide to lead us you are terribly mistaken.

Seems the only thing they stand for is an appearance of righteousness with none of the actual righteousness.

By doing that they've boxed us...they've have pushed us into creating a bar that the GOP doesn't follow.

All the hash tags about being the resistance...resist etc, etc, etc. Slogans we are supposed to follow yet the DNC establishment starts cannibalizing our own high profile members.

The GOP manipulates the situation to where we take the high road while all they do is take advantage of it thru their own lack of ethics.

We lose Conyers and Franken while the GOP elects a pedophile...where do I live? What kind of world is this?

these multiple allegations. Franken has been a strong voice, but he will never earn back the respect he has lost. All that will happen if he clings on is that the GOP will argue that we are no better or worse than them every time allegations against them are made.

The GOP could run an axe murderer for high office and the GOP base would still come out to vote for them. Democrats are held to a higher standard by everyone including Democratic voters. In a better world this would work to our advantage as we would be seen as the more upright party but it doesn't. Instead our voters become demoralized and often stay home or vote third party while the GOP wins with their broken glass Republican loyalists who come out no matter who is running as long as an "R" is next to their name.

Not only has Franken categorically denied the latest allegation, but to witness the self-satisfied mini presser that Gillibrand gave espousing a "zero tolerance" policy when we have a p*ssy-grabber in-chief as President is simply unbelievable.

Unless they know something we don't, they are shown to be poor leaders, who don't research the facts first and then make decisions. I would not want to have any of these people on a Presidential ticket and I am very disappointed in my own Senators from Illinois, who appear to be cowardly bandwagonneers.

We need real fighters. The Republicans never stop fighting. They never back down. And we always throw in the towel and cave, running away with our tail in-between our legs.

We're never going to win until we learn how to fight fire with fire. Maybe some of the new Democrats coming up will have these killer instincts our party so desperately needs.
