So I believe he will officially leave sometime in January 2018

Free air time to explain the difference between the Democratic and Republican agenda. Everyone will want to interview him. I am hoping he uses this time to further the causes he, and his fellow Minnesotans that put him in the Senate, believe in.

8. Al is making the Transition for Smith as smooth as posible.

Most likely there will be Staffing issues and convincing key Staffers to stay with Smith. Knowing some of the people in Al's Minnesota out reach offices,some of the key people will bail.
