And so let the conspiracy theories begin.

I just saw a post shared by TWO facebook acquaintances (one conservative, one a 9-11 "truther" and anti-vaccine activist) and no, I am NOT linking to it.

It says that it's not a coincidence that the Colorado shooter was a neurology grad student, and may have been hypnotized or drugged. That he was funded by shady groups (possibly the FBI ) that wanted a "big bang" before some upcoming UN meeting on small arms. The writer called this "Fast and Furious II" and posited that it was all a sneaky attempt to allow the UN to come into the US and confiscate all our guns. Or the FBI. Or a UN-FBI cabal. I think. (sorry, I'm not up on conspiracy universe) But they want our guns.

The writer said that it had to be a "gubmint conspiracy" because 1) some of the stuff the guy was wearing wasn't exactly available at Walmart and 2) the stuff he had cost $10-$20K, and where would an unemployed student get that kind of money?

Anyone else see this? WTF?

I usually lose these folks when I post links to www.snopes.com in response to some of their wilder postings. But I can't expect snopes to be up on this one yet.

I even saw a post that linked the killer to OWS. How? Because some OWS protesters wore gas masks

It's nice to know who the crazies are, at least

I wasted a couple of years following breadcrumbs that led me to exactly where the one laying the breadcrumbs wanting to lead me too

sure enough, he turned out to be an obama disliker

yup
ayuh and all them things

I am out of the conspiracy biz.

There is however a conspiracy, as the shooter is abetted by the NRA superpac and hate radio, isn't he?

Before the prime suspect hasn't even been to court and the names of the victims have been released, these are already spinning on the internet.
I find it odd. An ABC reporter in the name of getting it first, instead of getting it right, mistakenly accused a Tea Party member of being the murderer. And he most likely has ended his career. But, he made a mistake. He shouldn't have done that, but why is he being destroyed by the right wing media and these nut-jobs coming up with the wild conspiracy theories will never be challenged.
Rhetorical question no need to answer.

I've pretty much purged all the right wing nuts in my life to "Less from Helen" land.

I was surprised Mr More-Lefty-Than-Thou and the other fellow posted this. Ugh.

you've pretty much signed your life away when it comes to being tested on with all kinds of stuff that you are not really told about, all in the name of "national security"?

Maybe that's one of the reasons why the "military" are so RW ... all those mind-control experiments they endure ...
