So what happens next time there's a smear job on a Dem congressman, now that Rs know how easy it is?

Just saying...Will they stop with Franken? Why should they? This climate is ripe for set-ups. And how will Dems react the next time? Is this a precedent? Precedents are hard to walk back.

This has weakened, not strengthened, the MeToo movement. No one but the right wing wins from this. And such an easy win.

Franken is resigning, that's his choice. I wish he wouldn't, but its not my choice. His and his alone. Was he pressured, sure, but still his choice. Hope he changes his mind.

But that pressure, would not in any way, make me resign from the extremely important job that my constituents appointed me to do. Quite a bit of them would be looking for life and death solutions. My job would be to represent them, not get along with my co-workers.

What if the person accused vehemently denies them?
