Just saying...Will they stop with Franken? Why should they? This climate is ripe for set-ups. And how will Dems react the next time? Is this a precedent? Precedents are hard to walk back.
This has weakened, not strengthened, the MeToo movement. No one but the right wing wins from this. And such an easy win.

(7,281 posts)Franken is resigning, that's his choice. I wish he wouldn't, but its not my choice. His and his alone. Was he pressured, sure, but still his choice. Hope he changes his mind.

(9,524 posts)senators he has to work with are pressuring him to resign, without any investigation. Will they respond the same way the next time?

(7,281 posts)But that pressure, would not in any way, make me resign from the extremely important job that my constituents appointed me to do. Quite a bit of them would be looking for life and death solutions. My job would be to represent them, not get along with my co-workers.
