Sunday Talk Shows

Meet The Press
Details continue to emerge in the wake of the Colorado movie theater massacre. We’ll get the very latest from Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper (D). Plus, the very latest from the NBC News team on the ground.

How do we better protect Americans?
What can be done to protect Americans against domestic threats? And what can be done about the sense of vulnerability many people feel after such a seemingly random act of violence? A special discussion with former Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff, former chief of police for the Los Angeles Police Department William Bratton, and gun-control advocate Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY).

Roundtable on what comes next
The tragedy in Colorado is yet another reminder that politics can often be affected by unforeseen circumstances. Will either of the presidential candidates lead the debate about what to do to prevent such horrible atrocities in the future? And looking ahead, where does the race go from here? What are some of the turning points that can change it moving forward? Joining us: New York Times columnist David Brooks, former DC public schools chancellor Michelle Rhee, former senior adviser to the 2004 Kerry presidential campaign, Bob Shrum, and former senior strategist to the 2008 McCain presidential campaign, Steve Schmidt.
