Occupy Iowa protesters took on Republican presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann's campaign headquarters on Saturday and several ended up in police custody. According to Russell Goldman of ABC News, ten of the protesters were arrested, including a 14-year-old girl. Bachmann suggested that the protesters "had come at the behest of President Obama."
The people outside are President Obamas re-election advance team. Thats what youre seeing outside. What they recognize is that Im the greatest threat to Barack Obamas re-election and I intend to be, Bachmann told reporters outside her office. She's busy preparing for Tuesdays Iowa caucus, the nation's first.

(27,461 posts)she doesn't really think Obama had anything to do with it.
Isn't that known as "bearing false witness", you hypocrite? (Bachmann, not the OP, in case that isn't clear)

(146,288 posts)she becomes Minnesota's problem again, and we're not looking forward to that one bit. Will she run again for her House seat? Well, the redistricting isn't going to be kind to her, actually, and she might just not win. She hasn't voted on anything in the House for a while, and her constituents are a bit squirmy about the fact that she hasn't been around much at all. But, if she doesn't do that, what the heck will she do? Run against Amy Klobuchar for the Senate? Well, that's a losing battle for her.
What will she do? That's what we'll be hearing about once she drops out, which I expect after Iowa. At least she's out of the state while she's running. And good riddance to her!

(146,288 posts)certainly, but she has broad support in Minnesota. I can't imagine anyone beating her in 2012. Most of the time, she votes well. Occasionally, I think she makes an error. I've talked to her several times. It's impossible not to like her in person. A very engaging person.

(20,043 posts)delusional. It would be a gift to Obama is she got the GOP nomination. Obama wouldn't have to show up to the debates and he's still win in a landslide.

(4,723 posts)Mao Tse Bachmann thinks Obama is scared of her, or even cares about her. I would have a hard time believing that Obama wastes time even thinking about her, except maybe to laugh about her absurdities, or to think over how many red states would go blue in November if she were the nominee. Takes a mighty big ego to so grossly inflate one's self importance as has Bachmann in this case.
