Louisiana Senator, John Kennedy, said we don't need to know the details of this tax plan!

His words. Out of his mouth today. He is a yes vote. Just called and left my thoughts on his voice mail. Ummm, the people do indeed need to know the details. After all, it's MY money they are stealing!

That's my new theory. I'm not talking about not being able to read a menu or simple book. I'm talking about being able to read and understand above eighth grade level. They know what their senator tells them on TV, and they'll be damned if they need to bother doing some background investigation (because they would have to admit they can't understand it). I've seen some statistics on this. 32 million Americans are functionally illiterate. 85% of inmates are. Functionally illiteracy rate has not changed in a decade. And then we move on to the claims by the rethugs that college education is not important. So you have to ask, are they really saying it's ok to be functionally illiterate? They want their voters to be low information. What better way than condone functional illiteracy?

Just as many are both that AND just so fucking racist that they will literally starve to death before changing.
