I have a question

If the government is by/to/for the people, how does someone with no experience in office get elected? I hold no standing with any party, I haven't held any office. Yet I want to make a difference. I'm tired of beating my head against a wall, yelling from the mountain top and being ignored......

City Council, Town Council, School Boards, Mayor, County Boards and such. Then if it feels right, you can run for another office that is partisan.

Was thinking higher.... House, Senate..... but any and all input is welcome and appreciated, as well as will be taken into consideration.

"I hold no standing with any party"

Also, not rich. Feel that the political system (regardless of party) is stacked against us. Have to have a legal background, clout within a party (even though we were never supposed to have them), lots of money....
