What is to be done?

Democrats supporting the NDAA stunned me. This, on top of our flawed election process, the tanking economy, and the apparent ineffectiveness, thus far, of OWA, leaves me with a sick feeling of hopelessness -- but there must be something we can do. I'm open to putting forth any and all ideas -- brainstorming -- because at this moment, I have nothing except a vague notion that we're going to need foreign assistance from somewhere. What do you guys think?
