1. We're kind of blowing it off this year.

We do have a pro-education rally to attend at the library today at 1:00, and I'll probably find somewhere to take photos of the fireworks tonight.

And maybe tomorrow we'll go downtown, I don't know.

2. I miss going - haven't been in a number of years.

So if you do go, get some pics (I recall you're a photographer!) and post, pretty pretty please?

RE: fireworks. Don't you get a kick out of being called "unpatriotic" because we don't have fireworks on the 4th of July? LOL!

3. Yes, fireworks on the 4th are anticlimactic at best.

Lol. Yes, I'm a photographer and the camera will be coming with me to the rally today. I've been tasked with taking some photos of Laurie Hummel, who is running for Gabrielle LeDoux's House seat. There's a legislative caucus meeting down here today, too, so it's kind of a political day.

As for Rondy, we've attended quite a few events in recent past years so we just weren't quite as excited about getting out in the crowds this year. Our big event is Iditarod next weekend.

Putting a lot on you there, Blue_In_Alaska! I know it's work - my spousal unit can occasionally be prevailed upon to take photos of the Yukon Quest. "Prevailed upon" meaning the obvious promises of more sex............. LOL!

5. Oh, yes, Iditarod is my labor of love

and I do post links to my photos here, even though I regularly catch a lot of flak from people who don't understand the sport. I'm used to it by now.
