Top Christie aide drove Exxon settlement, former state official says.

Source: New Jersey Online

By Matt Arco.

A former state environmental commissioner charged a top Gov. Chris Christie staffer with having "elbowed" his way into a multi-billion-dollar settlement negotiation with Exxon Mobil.

Bradley Campbell, a former commissioner of the state's Department of Environmental Protection, wrote in an op-ed published today that the Christie administration's move to quietly settle an $8.9 billion lawsuit with Exxon Mobil over the pollution at two industrial sites came after a top administration official took over the settlement agreement.

"The decision by the administration of Gov. Chris Christie to settle an environmental lawsuit against Exxon Mobil Corporation for roughly three cents on the dollar after more than a decade of litigation is an embarrassment to law enforcement and good government," Campbell wrote.

Does anybody really think Crisco didn't personally benefit from this arrangement? Fat chance.

Daughter, son in law and grandson are there. Problem: Grandson is only 1 year old, and probably not strong enough.

That's him to a T.

Very professional work there, Cha. This is the kind of ad NJ Democrats need - paid for by an "outside group", of course.

13. What is amazing is next to zero media coverage....the media is as corrupt as the politicians - clear.

Expect to see a flurry of ad payback money by Big Oil to all the media, CNN and the like most, to keep it quiet.

It is a corruption feedback loop.

The payback would not be in a slight move in a small amount of stock; the payback would be in massive support for campaigns by your boss, both direct contributions and through PACs.
