Brazilian president's popularity poll plummets

SAO PAULO (AP) — Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff's approval rating plummeted to a new low after Sunday's massive demonstrations protesting against corruption and calling for her impeachment, a new poll published Wednesday said.

The survey by the Datafolha polling institute showed that the president's popularity dropped even among Brazil's poorest, where her support has been always been strong.

Sixty-two percent of respondents said Rousseff's government was "bad" or "terrible," compared with 44 percent a month ago. Thirteen percent of respondents rated her government as "great" or "good."

Between the arrogance shown in the world cup, the way they were racist against Dilma, and Dilma's own willingness to allow first the world cup, then the Olympics, to rape and pillage, all I can say is SCHAENFREUDE! You may be one of the BRICS, but Comrade Putin knows which bricks are weak, and all in all, you are just another brick in the wall, to quote a certain UK band.

and the people believe she hasn't done enough to fight the endemic corruption which continues to poison Brazil...

Even with all the newfound wealth (World Cup, Olympics, coffee/beef exports, oil), it's still a free-for-all kleptocracy at the top for that country's one-percenters and precious little has "trickled down" to the masses...
