From AJAm:

Yemen president evacuated as airstrikes target palace

Unidentified warplanes attack residence in southern city of Aden, forcing President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi to flee.

President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi was evacuated on Thursday after the planes opened fire, hitting his residence in the southern city.
"President Hadi has been evacuated to a safe place but he has not left the country," Hadi's aide told the AFP news agency as a plane made a second pass over the palace.
The aircraft dropped a bomb or fired a missile at the compound in al-Maasheeq district of the southern port city, where Hadi is based, the official said, in a sharp escalation of Yemen's months-long armed turmoil.

I find the story at the link involving a University of Virginia student and his bloody arrest by virginia ABC agents, white, more timely and important.

7. Appreciate that view, but, some of us here at DU see ourselves as WORLD citizens, and

also know we can distribute our focus appropriately for the issues at matter, including in our own country.

No one has made the statement that events in Yemen should distract from events here at home. If they did, you should head there and post your comment, and I will back you up 100%.

If I assumed correctly then my point is valid - either way, really, the point stands.

13. I find your reply to me odd. If your post was sarcastic, then, I didn't catch

the sarcasm. But, I didn't attack you for your position, which I assumed was earnest, I merely gave another perspective.

Not sure why you decided to draw a target on me here when our stated views at DU are usually similar.

12. very, very small ethnic group? I don't think they own a bomber?

who flew the mission for them or was it a package bomb or a suicide person, and the group claimed a jet attack?

Or did they buy one of those giant fairly cheap model planes (drone) and now even the tiny ethnic groups have attack drones.?

The officials said the planes were flown by pilots allied to the Houthis and former President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who handed over power to Mr Hadi in 2011 after mass protests against his rule.

Sky News Arabia reported that the planes had taken off from al-Dulaimi air base in Sanaa.
