GOP Rep. Louie Gohmert can’t wait any longer: ‘It’s time to bomb Iran’
Source: RawStory/Right Wing Watch
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) pushed some wild conspiracy theories Wednesday to argue that the U.S. must attack Iran to destroy its nuclear program.
We need to make clear to Iran: You can play these silly games with our president that buys into them and our secretary of state, but the American people arent buying it and youre going to pay a price, Gohmert said.
He made the claims on the Washington Watch radio program hosted by Tony Perkins, president of the Family Research Council, reported reported Right Wing Watch.
Im hoping and praying the president will realize, despite the agenda he has that has put Christians in jeopardy around the world, that he will not want to leave the Democratic Party so devastated that they wont recover for many decades, Gohmert said. He said the president was slapping (Israel) around as an unwelcomed visitor, but he remained hopeful Obama would treat Israel as a friend.

(25,241 posts)Do you want another war or not?
The President & the Dems are negotiating for a peaceful solution.
The Repugs want another war.
Who and what do you choose?
This is a simple way of boiling down your 2016 vote for President.

(449 posts)Assuming Hillary will indeed be the nominee... Can we safely assume that she will? I think it's a valid question, as both Hillary and Bill are arguably (demonstrably? A case can be made) more hawkish than President Obama has been.
I'm not 100% sure what we can assume about her foreign policy platform until we hear more from her. Much has changed since she left State and Kerry took over.

One could strap a Cray computer onto Gohmert and he would still be dumb as a box of rocks.

(1,727 posts)Bomb first and leave a lot of questions unanswered later. What makes Mr. Gohmert believe he can find and neutralize the much hardened sites? And, why? Any country seeking safety from American action against it needs the bomb. It didn't do Kadaffi any good to give up his stockpile. Wish no country had nuclear weapons, but that door is closed. Now it's every country for itself.
