During a speech in South Carolina, potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson repeated his contention that gay people are seeking unconstitutional extra rights and that Congress should remove judges from the bench if they rule in favor of gay marriage advocates.
Some people think that I hate gay people, that Im a homophobe; Im not, Carson said. Jesus Christ was not a homophobe. Jesus Christ loved everybody regardless of their lifestyle but he offered them other ways to do things. Its a free country, people can do what they want to do, but they dont get to change the definition of marriage, which is between one man and one woman. Im concerned by the fact that were not paying attention to the Constitution the way we should.
Carson said that Congress should exercise its right to rein in judges who dont abide by the will of the people, adding that what we the people have got to do is insist that Congress carry out their duties.

(115,659 posts)Funny thing, the wingnuts talk about marriage as always having been between one man and one woman. Except that isn't true. Polygamy, for example, was widely practiced throughout history, including by such Biblical heroes as Abraham, Jacob, David and Solomon. If polygamy was OK for them, why must marriage be strictly defined as being between one man and one woman. And why doesn't somebody bring up the point that Solomon had 700 wives?

Which means the majority of people are FOR gay marriage, so yes they should abide by the will of the people.
Oh and Fuck You Ben Carson.

An activist judge is someone who doesn't recuse themselves when they are intimately involved in profiting in the case.
An activist judge ignores precedent and allows corps to be called people.
An activist judge rules against ACA when there is no constitutional grounds to do so.
