Fox News Poll: New high for Trump, new low for Clinton
Source: Fox News
...
Trump receives the backing of 26 percent of self-identified Republican primary voters -- up from 18 percent in mid-July and 11 percent a month ago. Thats not only the highest level of support for Trump, but its also the highest any GOP candidate has received since the Fox poll began asking the question in December 2013.
Trumps rise hasnt hurt former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who garners 15 percent and is the only other Republican in double-digits. He was at 14 percent in mid-July and 15 percent in June.
...
Another example of GOP primary voters increasingly liking what they hear from Trump: 34 percent say they would definitely vote for him, which is more than four times what it was two months ago (8 percent).
And the number who would never support Trump dropped 26 percentage points: it was 59 percent in June and 33 percent now. Graham (40 percent), Christie (34 percent) and Pataki (34 percent) now have more voters than the Donald saying they would never vote for them.

Perry is definitely out of the main debate.

(5,953 posts)Only Fox News would report Trumps 11 point lead over his nearest rival as a "HIGH"
While reporting Clinton's 29 point lead over her nearest rival as a "LOW"

(67,782 posts)......the heads of Limbaugh, Hannity, Kelly, O'Reilly, et. al. simultaneously exploding when it was revealed by FOX News that Obama's disapproval rating dropped 2 points and is no longer higher than his approval rating.
What is really puzzling is the previous ratings: Approval 47, Disapproval 48, No Opinion 6!!!
Do the math.

You may disrespect FauxNews (I do) but what is a better source for news about how the Republicans plan to game their own primary?

(3,373 posts)brings me happiness.
The two polls which I posted about are two polls which served as the last two nails in Perry's campaign coffin, and they were a joy to post (plus, I do relish seeing Trump rule the Republican primary because it is a bitter crop that the Republican must now reap from the hate-filled seeds they have been planting for many seasons now).

(3,373 posts)candidates qualify for Thursday's debate. there was a 3-way fight for the last 2 spots at the debate, and these 2 polls put Perry out of contention for the last 2 spots. There is 1 more poll coming out tomorrow, but it is pretty much too late for Perry to come back and grab the 10th spot.

(13,340 posts)According to 538 ratings, they are exactly in the middle in terms of predictive power. That is, they are not great, they are not terrible.
They are better than some polls posted here, not as good as others.
