Sanders credits Biden for 'lifetime of public service'

Source: AP

WASHINGTON (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders says Vice President Joe Biden has made a decision "that he feels is best for himself, his family and the country."

The Vermont senator is calling Biden his "good friend" and is thanking the vice president for "a lifetime of public service."

Sanders says Biden understands the need to rebuild the middle class and address income and wealth inequality.

Biden's decision not to seek the presidency leaves Sanders and Hillary Rodham Clinton as the leading Democratic candidates to succeed President Barack Obama.

will stop including Biden's name in their polling and stop trying to pretend that Bernie doesn't have popular support.

They've all apparently made a pact to keep telling everyone Hillary is our only choice.

I wish Bernie were running as a Democrat, not Democratic Socialist. There's just too many people in this country that will never vote for anything with the word socialist attached, especially in the South and the mid-West.

but definitely not true for the younger voters.

My parents, bless their sweet hearts, are currently in the pro-Hillary camp, but I told them to pay attention to Bernie in the debates and what he has to say (and also, listen very carefully to what Hillary actually says and the way she rarely gives a firm yea or nay on anything). I'm hoping Bernie continues to make the rounds on Black and Latino publications, radio, etc., because I think many if not all of them would overlook the "socialist" in favor of common sense.

Most people who have a problem with the word "socialist" also have a problem with the word "Democrat", so I don't think Bernie's self-classification is going to hinder him one bit.

I think Bill is out there behind the scenes talking to all of his connections convincing them in both in the Corporate media and print to turn up the heat; because sine the debate there have been some real BS articles about Bernie while giving Hillary praise as if she were in line to be Queen.

The media is taking stuff out of context and trying to hide Hillary's negative points of her record while digging up shit on Bernie when he was in elementary school.

And yes Mrs. Greenspan is a Dear friend of the Clintons

It's very telling and revealing that almost all of the major news channels and newspapers did polls after the debate and they all had Bernie winning by large margins, yet all of the media said Hillary won across the board.

She is obviously the choice of Wall Street and their media is trying to convince everyone of that. What is refreshing to me is that as hard as the media has been trying to push Hillary on everyone, they're not winning the battle. In days past, before everyone was as socially connected via internet, it was very easy for them to do.

she noticeably stammered in the middle as she came to Bernie's policy only message in the statement. Since that one time the talking heads have edited Bernie's statement to remove any mention of policy, but there is no media bias, right?

And truthful. Joe has been an honest and decent man his entire career even though I have very much disagreed with him on significant issues. I wish Joe and Jill many happy, healthy years with their family and doing whatever else they may choose to do in the public sphere.

Biden support Bernie, as his preference of the two. During Biden's speech, I'm pretty sure he said something to the effect that he will be voicing his opinion in the future. He and Bernie have a lot in common, and his support would be HUUUUUUUGE..
