Oklahoma parade crash suspect charged with four counts of murder

Source: Yahoo! News / Reuters

STILLWATER, Okla. (Reuters) - An Oklahoma woman was charged on Sunday with four counts of second-degree murder a day after she allegedly crashed the car she was driving into a crowd at an Oklahoma State University homecoming parade, killing four people and injuring dozens, police said.

Adacia Avery Chambers, 25, allegedly drove a gray Hyundai Elantra into a throng watching Saturday's Oklahoma State University homecoming parade in Stillwater, about 65 miles (105 km) southwest of Oklahoma City.

Three adults and a toddler were killed and dozens were injured. Police said they suspected she was intoxicated.

Her lawyer, Tony Coleman, told The Oklahoman newspaper he believes his client is mentally ill and doubted she was drunk at the time of the crash.

after hitting the barrier. They may very well get Murder II if that is the case.

The mother of one of the children hurt thought that Mrs. Stone, one of the fatalities, saved her child.

If she is, it'll be not guilty by insanity and she gets hospitalization.

sometimes inexplicable, sometimes drunk, sometimes idiotic, sometimes cellphone-caused, sometimes roadraging / macho driving... Extreme tailgating is so normal I wonder if driving instructors even teach not to do it anymore.

Let's recap:

You have a Bernie Sanders avatar, one of the most liberal voices on criminal justice.

You advocate that a young woman be beaten to death.

I know this is a trite comment but you are a real piece of work. Great job.

BS may be a liberal voice when it comes to progressive issues, I have found a lot of his supporters ARE NOT!

fluid and confused situation at this point with all kinds of stories coming out. We are about 65 miles north and slightly east of OKC. There has been a rush to explain this with a DUI charge that was not substantiated yet. We are waiting for more clear and accurate information at this point and of course we are in shock.
