TierOne trial spotlights victim who lost money and her job in bank's collapse

LINCOLN U.S. prosecutors on Thursday put a human face on the collapse of TierOne Bank during the federal criminal trial of ex-Chief Executive Gil Lundstrom.
Judith Klinkman, a longtime bank employee, testified that she was encouraged to buy stock in the companys 2002 initial public offering. She said the other 750 employees at what was once Nebraskas second-largest bank also were encouraged to buy.
By who? asked U.S. Prosecutor Rush Atkinson.
The executives, replied Klinkman, who was Lundstroms secretary, as well as the companys assistant secretary, a high administrative position responsible for tasks such as compiling the minutes of board meetings.

(666 posts)If only we had a department of justice that was really concerned about real justice. This all starts and stops at the presidents desk he tells the justice department who not to go after so not to upset his donors. Afterall they gave him the money just like they gave Clinton the money back in the early 90's. If America was only more like the scandinavian countries where they represent the people.
