South Wales Police delete own scary Halloween video
7 hours ago

A video made by police to promote good behaviour at Halloween has been deleted because it was deemed "too scary".

The short video featuring an officer dressed as a clown was filmed during an event for youngsters.

It was posted on South Wales Police's Twitter feed to warn young people to watch how they behaved as they went out out trick-or-treating.

A force spokesman said it received one complaint and took the decision to remove the video.

Trick or BEAT: Police Halloween safety video taken down for being 'too scary'

POLICE who made a video promoting a safe Halloween were forced to delete it – because it was too scary.

By Jerry Lawton / Published 30th October

The film featured an officer dressed as a clown with make-up so convincing it left viewers terrified.

The bobby, wearing a brightly coloured wig and face paint, danced around before ending the video close-up to the camera saying: “Trick or treat?”

When it was posted on Twitter, parents complained it would be too frightening for children. The film was designed to advise young people how to behave when trick or treating.

. . .

Creepy clowns were recently revealed as one of Brits’ greatest fears, terrifying more people than ghosts.
