Venezuela pres. Maduro invites [Noam] Chomsky to Venezuela to show him the reality of the country

Source: El Nuevo Herald

Venezuela's president, Nicolás Maduro, invited this Friday the American intellectual and linguist Noam Chomsky, who recently declared that the chavista model "has been destructive," to discuss about the "new reality" of the country that, as [Maduro] said, is governed by the people.

"I believe Noam Chomsky is not well-informed. He is a good man, Noam Chomsky, but there was a recent article supposedly about him, and I told the chancellor that it would be good to get his contact to talk with him for a while (...) because I believe he is badly informed," Maduro said in a public event.

This is regarding some recent claims made by Chomsky, which you can read in this Spanish article:

http://www.larazon.net/2015/10/28/noam-chomsky-el-modelo-de-chavez-ha-sido-destructivo/

El modelo de Chávez ha sido destructivo

...

Translation:

Chávez's model has been destructive

"The tremendous corruption and incompetence of the country never achieved freedom from the almost complete dependence on one export, petroleum," he assured.

All I can say is, I wonder how long it will be before the useful idiots in this site throw Noam under the bus. They already did it with Heinz Dietrich, the supposed mentor of Hugo Chávez, so I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same with Chomsky. The moment anyone starts to say something factual and pessimistic about how Maduro's running the "Revolution" to the ground, they automatically assume they sold out or something. It's sad, really. Chavistas are as intolerant to unfavorable opinions of their precious regime as Teapublicans.

They're just gonna think the same BS that Maduro said, that Chomsky's misinformed or something.

You always wish that what you think is right, but eventually after some time you realize that maybe you might've been in the wrong
