Spinal Tap Funnyman Michael McKean Hit by Car
Source: E! (yeah, I know...)
Michael McKean, star of This Is Spinal Tap and Christopher Guest troupe regular, was struck by a car Tuesday afternoon in Manhattan and was taken to the hospital in critical condition, publicist Harriet Sternberg confirmed to the New York Daily News.
He remains hospitalized, but how what is the 64-year-old actor-writer's prognosis?
McKean's condition was upgraded to stable at the hospital, per his rep, but, in addition to cuts and bruises, he did suffer a broken leg.
"He'll be OK, hopefully he'll be fine," Sternberg said. "It's pretty devastating." She also said that McKean's wife, Smallville star Annette O'Toole, was flying in from Los Angeles to be with him. He also has two children from a previous marriage.

You see the phrase "critical condition" and it can kinda make you go nuts.

(30,247 posts)That's a tricky corner. Well, most corners are tricky in NY thanks to crazy drivers, bike riders who think that they are in the Indy 500 and the even crazier cab drivers.
They said that McKean will recover, but for the time being he won't be able to perform (he's on a Broadway show).
I wish him a speedy recovery.
