(38,613 posts)After all, it was her own people who created the hole in the first place.
Wasserman Schultz was campaign co-chair for Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign.
Nathaniel Pearlman (vendor) was chief technology officer for Hillary Clinton's 2008 presidential campaign.

Where is the outrage over the incompetent handling of sensitive data?!
The DNC just told Americans that they can't be trusted with their data.
They hurt the whole Democratic party. Hillary too.

23) Upon information and belief, a similar security incident arose with the NGP VAN
software during the 2008 national presidential primaries, resulting in the unintentional
transmission of Confidential Information to the campaign of Democratic primary candidate
Hillary Clinton (the Prior Incident).
32) Upon information and belief, no action was taken in response to the Prior Incident
in 2008, nor was any candidates access to Voter Data suspended as a result of that Incident.

Yeah I don't buy it.

(6,145 posts)While we're at it let's see if the Hillary campaign downloaded Sanders campaign data in October with impunity.

(12,448 posts)I think the DNC overreacted here. The "breach" apparently originated through a company hired by the DNC. As for the Sanders campaign exploiting the breach, I don't have an opinion on that because, like almost everyone else, I don't know.
To the person implying that the Clinton campaign downloaded Sanders data "in October," I'd love to see your evidence. (Your opinion is not evidence.)

(5,586 posts)with the Repubs stealing nearly ALL of the media coverage, Dems are doing something to remain in the news.

(5,668 posts)Bernie just got alot of free press coverage that probably isn't a good thing for Hillary. and because it looks bad it's not exactly bad coverage.

(54,256 posts)Just my opinion, but I think they want Clinton.
Are they supposed to be 'unbiased' prior to the actual candidate selection?
I don't know how that works.
But it's pretty obvious to me that Hillary is Debbie's and the DNC's choice.
Fuck them.
Now I really like Bernie.
And I don't give a shit if he "can't win".
I voted for Obama, who also, early on, "couldn't win".

(5,113 posts)According to data reviewed by TIME, the Sanders campaign appears to have obtained files with lists of voters that the Clinton campaign had cultivated in 10 early states including Iowa and New Hampshire.
Beyond simply reviewing the data, the logs show the Sanders staffers took deliberate steps to harvest and store the information. According to the logs, the Sanders staff created from scratch no fewer than 24 listsconsisting entirely of data pulled down from the Clinton campaigns databaseand saved them to their personal folders.

it looks like the sanders campaign really screwed up.

(624 posts)Now that I've read the legal complaint that was filed by the Sanders campaign against the DNC, I can't believe that the DNC did what it did today - unilaterally cutting off the Sanders' campaign access to the democratic voter database, without first providing notice and giving the Sanders campaign the opportunity to deal with this issue. Yes, Bernie's head IT guy should have been fired - he was stupid and deserved to be fired for his poor judgment, even assuming that he was doing what he says, trying to preserve evidence that the firewall was down. However, the rashness and timing of the DNC's cutting the Sanders campaign off from the democratic voter data base is way over the top and looks completely illegal according to their contract with the campaign. Each of the presidential democratic campaigns could have sued the DNC months ago for its failure to provide a secure data base for each of the candidates' voter data. Well, at least Bernie is in the news now. I hope it doesn't hurt him.
