Iowa Poll: Clinton Slides, Leads Sanders by 2 Points

Source: Des Moines Register

6 a.m. CST January 14, 2016

DES MOINES REGISTER AND TRIBUNE COMPANY
Hillary Clinton has lost most of her lead over Bernie Sanders in the race to win Iowa’s Democratic presidential caucuses, a new Iowa Poll shows.

Clinton, who has been the favorite all along, now leads Sanders by just 2 percentage points in The Des Moines Register/Bloomberg Politics poll. That’s down from 9 percentage points a month ago.

Clinton is now the top choice of 42 percent of likely Democratic caucusgoers, compared with Sanders’ 40 percent, the poll finds. The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 4.4 percentage points.

“It shows Bernie is around to stay for sure. It’s not a fly-by-night thing,” said Grant Woodard, a Des Moines lawyer who has worked for several state and national Democratic campaigns. “It really shows we’re going to have a pretty crazy last few weeks here.”

The tightening race is not because of a surge in support for Sanders, the poll indicates. His support has risen just 1 percentage point in the past month. But Clinton has seen her support slide from 48 percent to 42 percent. The big shift has been in the number of likely Democratic caucusgoers who say they are undecided or who plan to stand up for “uncommitted.” Fourteen percent now say that, up from 8 percent a month ago.

Wonder how those polls and favorability numbers are going to hold up after Hillary and Chelsea's latest broadside assault on Bernie Sanders for the cardinal sin of supporting universal health care and their lies that he's intent on taking peoples' health care away.

according to the M$M, the corporate oligarchs, and those Democrats who remain unaware of the dire consequences of the radical income inequity forced upon us by the corporate megalomaniacs who've usurped our media, our politics AND our global economy.

Bernie Sanders is the only candidate who has consistently cited as the primary threat to our nation the usurpation of our democracy by the greedy, hedonistic corporate megalomaniacs--the very same wealthy supporters of HRC.

Bernie Sanders has my vote, and my full support.

"Favorite" my ass. That was just the way the Entrenched types wanted it to be and they thought that they could get away with just telling us so...

But we and millions now know about Bernie. Thank goodness he is running!

Go Bernie!

"Clinton Defends Daughter's Attacks Against Bernie Sanders"
Of course she does and to help her do that is none other than the Clinton shill,George Stephanapolis.
You know George gave a pretty hefty contribution to her PAC and also an personal maximum contribution to her campaign.fine nothing illegal right.
So now George is interviewing her about Bernie's healtcare plan and she is confirming Chelsea's lie.

I also see in a small sub a topic headline that Hillary has carried this false hood about Bernie's healthcare plan onto the air waves.
Obviously her AD's aren't working though.

So now George who has gotten away with labeling Bernie Sanders a Commimist,a Socialist and Democratic Socialist and a whatever. A true non-bias Journalist interviewing Hillary.

to defend sending her daughter out to lie on the campaign trail--shows that Hillary knows that this is troublesome for her.

She's trying to combat the bad press.

It's indefensible though.

She tends to melt down when her campaign is in a free fall.

this poll has it even closer that the recent 2 with bernie ahead.it continues trend line of clinton declining.

I see more people are moving uncommitted because they don't like clinton but aren't sure yet about bernie.

This confirms under 45,indys,and first time voters In iowa are for bernie.
