Sanders Endorsed by Former DNC Chairman Kirk

Source: ABC News

Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is picking up the endorsement of former Democratic National Committee chairman Paul Kirk, an ally of the late Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy.

Kirk will announce his endorsement Thursday in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Kirk was appointed to the Senate after Kennedy's death in 2009 and briefly served with Sanders. He backed President Barack Obama in 2008.

Kirk said in prepared remarks that of all the presidential candidates, the Vermont senator has most consistently talked about the dangers facing the nation's democracy.

Think that some of the earlier endorsements of Clinton was because she was seen as the inevitable candidate and they didn't want to look stupid by endorsing Bernie and losing?

Until about this time last year she was the only candidate. So I'm guessing when people were asked for endorsements they consented because there was no other choice.

I do.

I like this endorsement is kirk was close to Ted Kennedy.

When Kirk was DNC chairman the dems retook the senate In 1986.clinton croony DWS keeps doing terrable.

He also endorsed Obama back in 2008 by the way.

I did the happy dance for hours after we took back the Senate.

It's good to see Mr. Kirk endorsing Bernie

I also think they know that Bernie would forgive them for their snub when he wins the nomination, but Hillary never would.

& that comes with a lot of ties to the Kennedy Family.

Certainly a positive development in not only securing the New Hampshire primary but helping with the rest of the Northeast.

Very Good!
