Lindsey Graham endorses Jeb Bush for president

Source: politico.com

CHARLESTON, S.C. — Sen. Lindsey Graham on Friday endorsed Jeb Bush for president, a major get for the former Florida governor who has struggled to gain traction in the contest.
"Honored to have @GrahamBlog on our team. A proven leader with a clear understanding of the national security threats we face," Bush tweeted on Friday morning.

or Bush or Kasich would be the frontrunner. They are the only ones who are rational (not good).

He should have dropped out long ago. He doesn't have his heart in it and I don't think he really cares. The only reason I can think he is still in it is that there will be a brokered Repug convention and he was assured that he would emerge as their candidate. His money backers will see to that and certainly Bush has a lot of money bankrolled for him. After all - he was the 'presumptive nominee'.

Like his brother - he'll be a figurehead president and the country will be run by the same group that ran it when Poppy and Dubya were presidents.

With Jeb! as the candidate they'll be lucky to get 90% of the turnout they got with Romney. The destruction of Iraq, the collapse of the economy due to greedy capitalists; there are Republicans who think their establishment has some responsibility for that and they see Jeb! as representative of that part of the establishment. They won't show up for him.

Jeb! serves as a reminder that the establishment hasn't learned.

If the Republican establishment doesn't make there choice soon, they will ensure a Trump or Cruz nomination. Maybe Bush is hoping that everyone will have forgotten about his family by 2020.

I listened to the Republican debate last night--no, not all of it; my stomach isn't that strong--but I heard the part on foreign policy, and Jeb was the only one who sounded sane. He understands that we need to have allies in the Muslim and Arab worlds, and that you don't build relationships by insulting 1 billion people. Unlike his brother, he seemed to learn something from his father.

Trump, Rubio and Cruz all came across as, to borrow David Cameron's phrase about the right wing of his own party, swivel-eyed loons. God help all of us if any of them gets elected!
