NEWS Shots fired into Sen. John Whitmire's Houston office

HOUSTON - Shots were fired into the Houston office of Sen. John Whitmire, according to his office.

It happened overnight while the building was unoccupied.

Employees arrived to the building around 10 a.m. Thursday and found that shots had been fired at the building.

Police said a caller reported hearing loud banging, possibly shots fired, around 12:35 a.m. Police investigated, but did not find anything. No one was hurt.

What makes this interesting to me are 2 things:

1. Waiting List - this in and of itself entirely explains Texas.
2. the state mental health hospital - Texas is a really,really big state for one mental health hospital.

Conclusion: the asylum inmates are loose in Texas. I kinda knew this already but its always good to have an understanding of why.
