Nurses super-PAC endorses primary challenger to Wasserman Schultz

Source: The Hill

A super-PAC for nurses that has spent more than $1 million in support of Bernie Sanders's presidential campaign has endorsed a primary challenger to Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.)

National Nurses United on Wednesday announced their endorsement of Florida professor Tim Canova, who is trying to to unseat Wasserman Schultz in the Democratic primary.

Canova is mounting the first intra-party challenge to Wasserman Schultz since she was first elected to the House in 2004.

“On issue after issue, Tim Canova lines up with the concerns of nurses and our patients while Debbie Wasserman Schultz has turned her back on these concerns,” said Deborah Burger, the NNU's co-president, at a press conference Thursday.

i like his smile and he seems to have "kind" eyes. Nice looking man. My son is balding and my son in law is bald, so I'm quite partial to men without a head of hair.

This is great news!

A defeat of DWS in the Democratic primary is probably the only way to get her removed as DNC Chair, since President Obama will never remove her otherwise.

interview yesterday on msnbc with chris hayes. chris hayes was hammering on him about his reasons to come out in support of bernie - just before the primary. duuuuuh. tim was very upbeat.

sidenote: chris was also relentless and very disrespectful toward alan grayson regarding his announced support of bernie. this was on the same wednesday show. chris just couldn't shut up about it and kept talking over senator grayson.
