California man says he served as sex slave after adoption
Updated 4:49 pm, Thursday, March 10, 2016
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) A man has filed a lawsuit against a California couple he says used him as a sex slave after adopting him from an orphanage in Russia at the age of 9.
Denis Flynn, 23, said his father, Ralph Flynn, would abuse him more and more frequently, and his mother, Carolyn Flynn, began abusing him when he turned 15. Denis Flynn spoke at a news conference on Wednesday in San Jose.
The couple was arrested in November and face multiple sex-abuse charges in Santa Clara County. They have not entered pleas.
The office of Ralph Flynn's criminal attorney, Steven Nakano, said there was a gag order in the case that would not allow the attorney to make any comment.

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) --
A Los Gatos couple is accused of sexually abusing their adopted son and in an exclusive investigation, ABC7 I-Team reporter Dan Noyes has learned the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office failed to pursue the case when the first complaint came in three years ago.
Ralph Melvin Flynn and his wife, Carolyn Fen Flynn, face 44 charges involving their son they adopted from Russia. Court records show the charges include continuous sexual abuse of a child, unlawful sexual intercourse and incest.
Ralph Flynn, 71, is a direct marketing executive who said in his online bio he met famous musicians Joan Baez, Phil Ochs, Joni Mitchell, Jose Feliciano and Bob Dylan when he worked at the famous Unicorn Coffee House while attending college in Boston.
Carolyn, 47, is a major account executive at a high-tech firm. She is free on $525,000 bail, but her husband is being held at Santa Clara County's Elmwood Jail. His bail was set at $2.5 million.

(1,245 posts)... thing here in the USA, at least for now.
I'm prepared to wait until the court case and jury decision to proclaim 'the pair' as 'truly evil fuckers' ... just because that's what I was taught I'm supposed to do.
BTW, a quick check of the math confirms she could be released by coming up with around $50G ... whereas it'd take $250G to get him out. Perhaps it was a question of 'means' ...
