Ted Cruz says only he can beat Trump

Source: USA Today

Speaking to a filled auditorium at Evangel University, Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz said this year's election "will focus on jobs, freedom and security."

In his remarks, Cruz repeated many of his top campaign promises, including that as president he would abolish the Internal Revenue Service, pass a flat federal income tax, repeal the president's national health care law and reduce regulations on small business.

"If you want to see jobs explode, you lift the boot off the back of the neck of small businesses," Cruz said

Smith said he hopes as president Cruz would eliminate some federal departments, like the Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Education and the IRS. He also said Cruz's stance as a "constitutionalist" makes him an attractive candidate because the next president will likely be tasked with nominating the next U.S. Supreme Court justice.

While Trump is a racist, Cruz is just crazy.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kurt_von_Schleicher

In 1932, Kurt von Schleicher put himself forward as the "sane" alternative to the NSDAP, which was on the verge of bankruptcy, and successfully maneuvered himself into the position of Chancellor. He thought that he could starve out the Nazis by stealing their supporters and funding.

But Schleicher's maneuver worked in the favor of the Nazis, allowing Hitler time to gather financial and political support from the business community. Schleicher helped by breaking every promise he made and telling a joke that offended the son of Hindenberg. Shortly after Hitler took over, he had Schleicher assassinated in the Night of the Long Knives.

See you on the Eastern Front!

The evangelicals are breaking for Trump. His social issue positions are too extreme for moderates. The Republican establishment has made it clear that it's closing time and Ted Cruz is the ugly girl at the bar.

Honestly, put this man at the top of the ticket and I predict a landslide defeat not seen since 1984. I'm not even sure he'd win Texas.

The very first thing they did in Congress and the states was pass more restrictive abortion legislation. Still waiting on the jobs bills...

And are small businessmen actually land mines?

"If you want to see jobs explode, you lift the boot off the back of the neck of small businesses," Cruz said
