Elizabeth Warren: Enough Is Enough, It's Time To Stand Up To Donald Trump

Source: Huffington Post

"Donald Trump is a bigger, uglier threat every day that goes by."

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is calling on "decent people everywhere" to denounce Donald Trump, saying the GOP presidential frontrunner continues to grow into a "bigger, uglier threat every day."

Warren put up her statement in a Facebook post Monday afternoon. In the first 10 minutes after it was posted, the message was shared thousands of times.

There's a history of demagogues calling those they disagree with "terrorists" and using that as justification for intimidation and violence – and that history is ugly and dangerous. There's also a history of people staying quiet for too long, hoping for the best but watching silently as the threat metastasizes. Donald Trump is a bigger, uglier threat every day that goes by – and it’s time for decent people everywhere – Republican, Democrat, Independent – to say No More Donald. There's no virtue in silence.

of the Right-Wing. He has become the 'spokesperson' for all the 47%ers. The white, poor and ill-informed former middle-class that put their own immediate welfare ahead of their children's and the nation's.
Those that refuse to think for themselves, refute education and disregard the need for good schools.

It was all planned out. They(PNAC) have been working on it since Nixon.

They didn't plan on this(TRUMP).

I've already seen a meme on FB today with him talking about his speech being shut down in Chicago (which I was against, BTW) but easily winning the state primary. Like he would have ANY chance at winning IL in the general.
And I know there are people comparing his run to Reagan's, & how people joked about that, but Reagan had been a 2 time Gov of Cal, so to me there really isnt a comparison.
Certainly Trump COULD win, but it would be because of a major screw up by Hillary. Assuming she's the one, which looks likely

Who are a small minority of the Repub party, which is about 25% of the population. In context, 45% of less than 25% of the population isn't a winnable plurality. Can't see him picking up that many more mainstream votes in the General because he's nuts. I don't think he'll be able to pivot toward the middle for it. But, anything can happen in this crazy, crazy year.

I'm not so sure this Trump train can be derailed even after he gets the nomination. The GOP win at all cost "strategerie" has no real basis in a morality that I can understand but I have full confidence they will follow the Donald over the cliff and bring the country with them.....So yes Elizabeth..we all do need to stand up to this bully but I'm not so sure we can scream loud enough to drown this insanity out.

do that. She spent 30 years in a Party that was hugely racist and so homophobic that they presided over genocide of neglect as tens of thousands died, Warren was party to all of that. She is one of the people who legitimized and excused all of that bigotry because she thought it was good for the markets which were making her so very rich. She played patsy cake with Reagan and with Bush. She was a member of the Republican Party that wallowed in Pat Buchanan's Culture Wars rhetoric which held up LGBT, racial minorities and feminist women as the enemy. She was part of that. She has a responsibility to help clean up her old room.

They can't win elections and rely on the impunity of theft and gerrymandering. Trump- the right wing Mussolini is the natural next step for the rich minority seeking power. Power by other means(than election theft) would include a naked coup and not just a packed (SCOTUS, fraud, media, money, impeachment). None of those are very reliable and may have consequences, a sequence of decaying dictatorships out of control.

Trump may cauterize this slide for the GOP but I doubt it very much. They will rally if he succeeds in actually getting something they don't even believe possible, a true majority of voters. Why else have they substituted infantile raving and tantrums for engaging in anything to do with political and governance? Trump is the GOP creature. The vestiges of sanity in that corrupt party are having their faces rubbed in it by a demagogue takeover artist, but they can't change. They would need a conversion which most Republicans with a brain or heart did long ago.

For the rest it is all about financed myths and myths that support finance. Except for petulant insiders they would fall into line.

The amazing hypocrisy. On NPR one of their righteous GOP reporters(Totenberg, Roberts?) interviewed by another, was talking about and advocating a dump Trump movement, which her GOP husband was actively involved in. "I never let politics affect my reporting".
Stunning lack of reality there that beats Trump all hollow in my book. This very activism review on air as a segment is not purest political partisanship? They for once want to become all activist on an overriding issue? Oh, yes, Nixon WAS a crook too. The media is crying outrage all the way to the ratings bank.

When a progressive stands for the truth it can amazingly find a blind ally in someone who only knows they are about to take the big hurt- largely through their own idiocy and even creation.
