Ex-Chipotle worker in Pennsylvania wins labor ruling after he was fired for tweeting about poor work

Source: NY Daily News

BY DAVID BOROFF

A Chipotle worker in Pennsylvania who was fired after complaining about the working conditions on Twitter was awarded his job back — but he doesn't want it.

An administrative judge ordered the Chipotle in Havertown to rehire 38-year-old James Kennedy, who had tweeted about the company's "cheap" labor policies.

"If you want to tweet something about your personal experience at your job, do it," a happy Kennedy told the Philadelphia Inquirer on Tuesday. "Tweet at your bosses and your bosses' bosses.

"A lot of times your bosses will sugarcoat what's going on" to their bosses, he said. "Doing it publicly really puts the spotlight on them," he told the newspaper.

For this man's courage. Keep it up, Sir, we should all be doing this. We should all be speaking the truth as much as we can, as loudly as we can. It's time for American workers to unite for better treatment, for better benefits, higher wages, for a chance to live as we deserve, given how damned hard we work.

Fuck Chipotle, I've never had their food - and never will, I don't care if it's the best thing since ice cream.
