LAS VEGAS — The Latest on criminal charges in separate standoffs in Nevada and Oregon (all times local):

11:40 a.m.

Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy has lost his bid for release from jail ahead of trial on federal charges stemming from an armed standoff against government agents two years ago.

A federal magistrate judge in Las Vegas pointed Thursday to grand jury findings that Bundy incited and led a gunpoint standoff to stop federal agents from rounding up cattle near his ranch in April 2014.

Bundy and four of his adult sons are among 19 people now facing federal charges.

LOL! Thanks for the post, and I believe the judge in this case definitely got it right. Bundy is untrustworthy and feels the law doesn't pertain to him and his family.

somewhere around 30 years ago we had a bunch of weirdo's running around in our national forest playing war or whatever they call it and finally the LEO's and the Game Warden had all they could take and ran the assholes off. Our Game Warden is one tough but honest and fair man and doesn't take any shit off anyone about anything. The LEOs come and go but the game warden has been here for 40 years now and has the respect of everyone around. Got that respect by being firm and honest, really the only way to win the masses respect. I like living in a land of laws and will support those who make that possible any time
