A lawsuit claiming to be from the Uber driver accused of shooting six people in Kalamazoo, Mich., was a hoax, according to local authorities.
The handwritten complaint, filed in federal court this week, alleged that it was from Jason Dalton, who has been charged with killing six people and wounding two others in a shooting rampage last month. In the complaint, the person claiming to be Dalton said he blamed Uber for his incarceration and outlined a litany of other complaints against the company before asking for $10 million.
