Fox News slams Trump, says he has an ‘extreme, sick obsession’ with Megyn Kelly

Source: Washington Post

"The top-rated cable news channel issued the following statement Friday evening in response to yet another series of nasty and personal remarks by the GOP presidential front-runner:"

They aren't kidding. They include one tweet after another from Trump about Kelly. I can see one or two (I have never watched her myself and have no opinion), but Trump just goes on and on. He really is crazy as a loon.

Also, it is not just Trump. In the debate that he skipped, Fox then proceeded to try to take out Cruz. It was fun to watch, but it also shows that Fox is hardly being objective. It is trying to handpick an establishment choice.

You obviously didnt watch the debates and see the questions she asked Cruz, Rubio, carson, etc. And if you think asking about statements he actually made is really a "hard" question, it says something about YOU.
She even framed it properly; if you get the nomination, you KNOW Hillary is going to bring up these statements. She's right. HRC & her staff are licking their chops at the ads they can run on this doofus.
What she was doing was her JOB, which most people here never expected. And neither did the GOP "base". They all hate Fox now, since what they thought would be a lovefest debate turned into actual questions with some substance.

I guess he really thought he was going to have it easy because he's such a rich and famous guy. And he also doesnt seem to have many professional campaign workers either, so maybe no one ever warned him about what to expect. And I guess he likely thought Fox would be an easy deal since its Fox. Well, he should have known better. I dont see it as being sandbagged at all.
if this was any other network, everyone would be cheering them on. The fascination with fox has always amazed me. It sounds just like the RWers going on and on about the "liberal media"
To a lot of people, myself included, their debates have been the best ones to watch this election cycle. I would have loved to have seen them have one for the Dems. I know Sanders wouldnt have had any problem with it; he's even done O'Reilly live a couple times.

If kelly hadnt asked him that question in the first debate, do you really think no one else would have asked it during any of the other debates on the other networks?

Trump draws in voters and creates political energy, then becomes a monster.

Faux plays good cop.

Dump Trump becomes the party's main obsession.

America breathes a giant sigh of relief when it happens.

The wannabes are worse, so the Establishment, operating in the back
room all along, emerges with a new ticket:

Ryan-Kasich '16

New conservative ideas for America. Romney stumps all over for them.

And lest you think I'm daft, Ryan-Kasich '16 is an electoral NIGHTMARE
for Democrats whether they nominate Clinton, Sanders, Clinton-Sanders, or
Sanders-Clinton because it strikes at their Electoral College strength and hope,
the heartland.

We are being played big time.

If trump gets the most delegates and they pull him, millions of his whiny little followers will stay home and pout instead of voting for the party. They'd still lose. Thats the big difference between the Dems & the GOP, most Sanders supporters WILL vote for Hillary if she wins it & vice versa. The GOP is too much like a spoiled child; if they dont get their way a lot of them just stay home. They did it with Romney, because you know he wasnt a "true conservative". When in the first debate in 2015 Kelly dared to ask Trump about his misogynistic remarks against women, Trump made gross sexist remarks about menstrual blood, saying she had "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her whatever".

Later in the campaign, Trump was insecure enough to try to reassure his supporters about his penis size.

are you all so gullible to fall for this contrived bullshit?

this has been beautifully orchestrated by fucks news to suck you all in on one of the biggest right wing cons yet.

kelly makes all sorts of proclamations about how she's going to stand up to trump. and trump fires back with his usual insults.

and what happens? the bubbled headed bleach blonde kelly gains "street cred" among the reported "left".

and trump gets all the free air time he could ever want to show off to his right wing moron mouth breathers that "he will stand up to "uppity" women".

you are all being played in via a stupid passion play completely orchestrated by roger ailes, tRump and kelly.

this is the ultimate reality show stupidity, because the morons out there feeding on this shit sandwich believe it.

and here is the very best part, kelly proclaims that "I don't need to interview trump for the sake of ratings", which means, she will interview trump for...wait for it...the sake of ratings.

never once did she say that she WASN'T going to interview trump.

because she will and it will be probably one of the highest rated moments on fucks news because americans are that stupid and gullible.

please don't fall for this modern snake oil passion play.

but alas, we as americans love ourselves to car wreck to drive slowly past to hope to see some gore or bodies.

we are a nation of played fools.

Sun Mar 20, 2016, 10:56 AM

And fox used him for ratings. But I think fox news underestimated him and went for the ratings instead of taking him down a peg because they are arrogant. Trump used fox news and attended all those "debates" for the exposure he needed to secure his delegates, and then boogied. Hence, the reason why he ditched the last debate. Fox and the Republican establishment have just been incredibly arrogant and stupid in underestimating this blowhard.

Quite honestly, what I can't figure out is why the media hasn't taken him down. They have taken down plenty of presidential hopefuls in the past. It seems to me they have treated him with kid gloves. Trump is vulgar. But I have faith that, of all the media outlets out there, that fox news can get trumptastically vulgar as well. It's not like they have professional or ethical standards. So why haven't they?

Because what I stated is true. it's not in their best interests to "take him down".

he's a money maker for them ratings-wise.

I maintain and always will maintain that this "feud" has always been a set up since it first began.

AND more so, isn't it very interesting that trump keeps having these meetings with ailes to "iron things out".

nothing more than them getting together and planning their next ratings boost/trump coverage.

we are, I maintain, so very gullible.

Faux News will be compelled to not only endorse Trump, but to carry his water. To go on air and repeat over and over how much better a choice he is than the Democrat running against him.

And like another up thread, I can see the penultimate moment in the future when Kelly and Trump have their big smooch on air. "I'm sorry Megyn, some things were said in the heat of the battle, I apologize if I may have offended you, but I want you to know that I think you are the best! You are what will make this country GREAT again!". "Well thanks Donald, it takes a great man to apologize and take his lumps. I have the greatest respect for you and so lets put this all behind us....now lets talk about Hillary's emails"
