http://comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com/garry-shandling-its-great-that-garry-shandling-is-still-aliveNote the name of clip is S7 E4 It's Great That Garry Shandling Is Still Alive.
He mentions having hyperparathyroidism in the clip.
Also, Jerry mentions how Garry's show was the first with "that certain kind of air about it." I knew just what he meant. Shows didn't have the stylings and rhythms that Garry's did until his show. That's what made it so special. Plus, it was really funny.

Need Hank for one last "Hey Now"
But my favorite (and this is a long video but worth if you have time later)
This was a "Spinal Tap"-esque "Anniversary Special". Classic
Rest in Peace Garry.

(5,732 posts)so live for today. In January of 2015, my girlfriend of 10 years died suddenly of a massive heart heart attack. a month shy of 58, not overweight, no real symptoms, seemed fine the last time I ever talked with her, dead and gone the next day. When they are gone, they are gone forever. Make sure the people you love know it.

(135,425 posts)It's worse when you don't get to say goodbye. His departure, like that of your loved one, was probably easier on them, but those left behind are left with that "If only I'd said ....." feeling.
The older we get, the more we "get" this. Ah, wisdom....

But all I can say is when it comes to quirky series, before Seinfeld, there was Shandling and his "Shows"...
