Iraq Stadium Bombing: ISIS Claims Responsibility For Explosion That Left Dozens Dead

Source: Huffington Post

BAGHDAD — Iraqi officials say the death toll from a suicide bombing at a soccer stadium that was claimed by the Islamic State group has climbed to 41, with another 105 people wounded.

The security and public health officials provided the updated toll Saturday on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to brief reporters.

The bombing took place Friday during a match in the small stadium in the city of Iskanderiyah, 30 miles (50 kilometres) from the capital, Baghdad. IS claimed the attack, saying it had targeted Shiite militiamen.

The extremist group has lost ground in recent months in Iraq and Syria, but has struck back with a series of large attacks targeting civilians. IS claimed this week's attacks in Brussels, which killed 31 people.

are the death throes of that odious cult. If they go down, they're going to take a lot of others down with them.

May the victims rest in peace.

Notice there is not widespread condemnation of the act. Excuses for the act and a BTW we think the act is wrong - BUT if Obama did so and so it would be a wonderful middle eastern world. Oh - and then there is Israel, and the Kurds, and the Yazdi's - all of them will be to blame. And it won't stop there.

thanks for trying. There are enablers and excusers which I don't understand. Surely no one believes suicide bombing is right who is not a terrorist? But the field is tilted and confused.
