Donald Trump Says He’s ‘Disappointed’ by Criticism From Republican Leaders
Source: MSN/TIME
Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump said in an interview Wednesday that he was disappointed and surprised by Republican leaders who criticized his comments about a federal judge as racist.
After House Speaker Paul Ryan and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell sought to distance themselves from their partys standard-bearer, Trump issued a statement Tuesday stepping back from his criticism of U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel. But in an interview with TIME, Trump said he was upset with the GOP leaders.
I was disappointed and surprised, he said Wednesday morning at Trump Tower in New York. Asked if he considered the comments disloyal, Trump noted that they came just as he was set to formally clinch the required number of delegates to win the nomination. I had just won more votes than anyone in the history of the party, so I was a little bit surprised when they said that, Trump said. I didnt think it was necessary. But you know, they have to say what they have to say. Im a big boy. They have to say what they have to say.
Trump has questioned whether Judge Curiel, an American citizen born in Indiana to Mexican immigrant parents, can be impartial in a lawsuit against him because of his Mexican heritage.

(17,387 posts)He is flanked by his second wife and his daughter are directly behind him in the camera shot, but the rest of his family are off to the side. Either have your supporters behind you, your staff, or no one. But standing there with his model wife and model daughter immediately behind him as bookends while the rest of the family is off to the side just struck me as weird.

(1,408 posts)Well of course he was "disappointed and surprised".
Why?
Because he doesn't think that what he said was wrong.
Why?
Because that's what he believes AND the way he thinks.

(5,732 posts)He has a narcissistic personality disorder, he will always see himself as the center of the universe. He is a sick man, but it is the nature of his disorder for him to be so arrogant and disgusting that it is almost impossible to have compassion for hm or anyone with his disorder. He is a seriously flawed individual. Same disorder Hitler had. Interesting.
