Report: Elizabeth Warren To Endorse Clinton Thursday Night On MSNBC

Source: Talking Points Memo

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is expected to endorse Hillary Clinton Thursday night on MSNBC's “The Rachel Maddow Show," according to Boston Globe reporter Annie Linskey.

-snip-

The prized endorsement from the popular Massachusetts senator would come on the same day President Barack Obama went public with his own support for Clinton.

-snip-

Warren, who has lead the Democratic Party’s attacks on presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, has been floated as a vice presidential pick who could help Clinton appeal to disappointed supporters of her primary opponent, Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

Clinton called Warren “an incredible public servant, eminently qualified for any role” in a Thursday interview with Politico.

Not personally but for our country. Hope and Change RIP 6/9/2016. We have been told directly by Hillary to not expect change. Just be happy with the status quo and hopefully if we vote for her it won't get worse like it would with Trump. Trump just announced he may try to legalize Cannabis in all 50 states. He could be fair weather lying again but what would Hullary do if he tried to peel votes away that way. DUers seem to forget 99% of voters aren't dedicated activists. Politics is an afterthought for them. Precisely the reason we need to be afraid of Trump. He's not beholden to the establishment like Hillary is. Can Hillary legalize Cannabis like she should? She's to tied to a system that won't accept cutting off forfeiture dollars, or private prison dollars, or BigPharma dollars, or BigAlcohol dollars. What about the DEA and NSA who fleece billions from our treasury to pretend to stop drugs? Hillary needs to divest from these forces and although it may be uncomfortable for her she can't risk getting played. I'll hold my nose and vote for her but expecting the masses to see the seriousness of everything is unrealistic. She could make a lot of people happy by pivoting away from the center in this issue. Asking that Cannabis be made schedule II which only allows research is ridiculous and won't cut it. COCAINE is schedule II. Roger Clinton still went to jail anyway right? Let's please end this stupid drug war. If Hillary wants to get a lot of votes I'm confident that would do it.

Well done.

It's really unbelievable the amount people on the left have swung very much to the right when it comes to corporations, policing, etc. Not to mention how lenient and blind-eyed everyone was for this year's election 'fraud' and MSM bias and lying.

Not sure what the big Geopolitical play is - Looks like more war and escalation/provocation police-state to me. If we can keep the Internet free and open there might be some chance for major turbulence and actual shift in policies, but even that may be in question with the likes of new 'Net Neutrality' offerings and NSA/FBI/OtherActors=Domestic Spying and anti-terror total control. Russia is a serious threat, mostly in response to us (secret arms deals, Syria issue, missile shield/intelligence gathing). I wouldn't be surprised if all of this is being actively "helped" along. To what end, only time will tell, I fear.

Deep in my heart I believe that. People follow candidates. Personalities. And once they are tied to something they excuse anything without thinking it through. This is how the powers that be have played us. They realize they are in a precarious situation and being questioned. So they picked a minority and a woman.

But have been an active Democrat for years , executive board, precinct captai, state delegate to national delegate.
Also, am a good judge of character and have read every book about recent political history on the shelves - even Sidney Blumenthal's and several other, shorter books about the Clintons. Hillary's "In Her Own Words" and so on.
The MSM has pushed the Hillary candidacy for a year. What in the heck are you trying to say?

I love Senator Warren and she will be an awesome asset to Secretary Clinton's campaign.

Anyone who thought otherwise is a fool. She's had to balance her support (remember she signed the women urging Clinton to run thing) with her liberal bonifides. If she came out in support earlier you'd have had "liberals" wanting to primary her.

I have no problem with this. If she didn't give her support she'd have a hella time keeping her seat.
I believe she will keep her current path fighting for us all, she just needs to be able to do it. She can't if she's locked out of the fight.

That shot across the bow from DWS some weeks back wasn't for nothing. They're letting her know she has just so much rope.
Good for her being smart enough not to hang herself (which in turn hangs the rest of us)

against Trump. I am presuming this is the big reason Warren is endorsing her, as she has been castigating him for the last few weeks.

But it will roll right off the backs of any Trump supporters. First, who is Elizabeth Warren to them? She's a nobody on their radar screen--if they even know who she is in the first place.

Trump is playing one game, these traditional-type Democrats are playing another. So far this Democratic approach is not winning. It may make them feel good to stand up there and excoriate Trump, but they mostly preach to the choir. They don't even have the attention of the Trump supporters/leaners.
