Sanders' lone Senate supporter flips to Clinton

Source: MSN/The Hill

Bernie Sanders's lone supporter in the Senate is flipping to back Hillary Clinton for president.

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-Ore.), the only senator to endorse Sanders, on Friday told CNN he would back Clinton just days after she became the party's presumptive nominee.

"Certainly, I'm going to be supporting our nominee and our nominee is Secretary Clinton," Merkely told CNN.

He also said Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) would be a "wonderful vice presidential choice."

Now being sour and picking up your marbles and giving them to Trump, that might be a flip but I don't see anyone who supported Sanders doing that unless they were Republicans at the get-go.

The sour grape seed spitters on both sides need to take a break and maybe a Valium.

Obama and Biden took math too. And the math is in, Hillary won and Bernie lost. It was epic and historic, and it is over just as predicted, Clinton will be the next President.

You can't blame Bernie for trying. Whoever won this one has an almost certain chance of being the next President. But if he is committed to change and it isn't about him, let's see him march right on and fight for a Congressional majority to help President Clinton sign legislation implementing the new platform he helps write. Bernie can bring down the Republican congress if he is willing to continue the campaign for change.

Don't forget to tell the Sandernistas who still think he won California, and those who say it'not over until July 25. I'd love to move on together from this point. Maybe when Bernie endorses Clinton?

Your candidate was over the top in the delegate count before California was in, and the AP intervention will always leave the California results in some degree of ambiguity(which is not your campaign's fault, they didn't do it, but you need to allow for the fact that Sanders people have every right to feel bitter about what happened on Monday night).

It's enough that the person you wanted got the nom. Bernie doesn't need to endorse HRC yet. What matters at this stage is that he not attack her(and he has ceased all attacks).

Jeff made a brave move to support Sanders. But Jeff would never survive to represent us in Oregon if he went against the Red Queen and her minions. I will hold a fundraiser for Jeff and understand why he had to do this. He is the best senator ever!
