Military Investigating 2 Camp Pendleton Marines for Social Media Post

Source: Associated Press via NBC News

The Marine Corps is investigating two active-duty Marines at Camp Pendleton for a social media post of a photo of a corporal in uniform holding an assault rifle and the message: "Coming to a gay bar near you!"

Maj. Staci Reidinger said Thursday that fellow Marines alerted officials to the post, and authorities were able to track down the Marine in the photograph and another one who reposted it.

According to the Marine Corps Times, the post appeared on a private Facebook group for male Marines with the words "Too soon?" before the administrator deleted it and banned the person from the group. The administrator of the Facebook group could not be reached for comment.

To not use fancy terms in case any army folks are reading this.

Edit to add for our Air Force readers- this is more serious than a timeout

That's it! The repugs could try a discharge for the convenience of the repug party to dump trump. It really would be better, however, if he was still there and suffered the worst landslide defeat EVER in the history of American politics. Make him The Washington Generals of politics:

... that would have resulted in some pain for the individual and then he would have moved on with his life a little less stupid.

(Imagine a polaroid with the words written in sharpie instead of snapchat)

Modern social media means that this will follow him until his dying day.

Their chain of command should be able to process a nice administrative separation complete with General Discharge that'll haunt them for the rest of their lives in just a couple of days. Bad Conduct Discharges can only be issued as part of a court-martial sentence.
