Clinton Will Target Trump’s Business Record

Source: Political Wire

“Hillary Clinton will target Donald Trump’s business record on Tuesday, casting the presumptive Republican nominee as self-interested and deceptive as he prepares to provide more details about his economic proposals during the coming weeks,” the Wall Street Journal reports.

“Tuesday’s address in Columbus, Ohio, will build on Mrs. Clinton’s recent foreign-policy speech in which she used a compilation of Mr. Trump’s own words to suggest that he is uninformed and even dangerous.”

Said Clinton policy chief Jake Sullivan: “It really comes down to being able to show that every time Trump had an opportunity to get something for himself at the expense of someone else, he took it, in spades.”

Trump's supporters somehow believe two wrongs: that the economy is a disaster, and that Trump, the savvy businessman (cough), will fix it.

He is such a dangerous person, that any chance, no matter how remote, of him being president scares the bejezus out of me. I struggle with the importance of ensuring he is never president vs. the arguably increased chance of losing in the general to the rethugs if he is removed at the convention.

I honestly do not know which is more important. Both would cause huge damage to the country. But the damage a Trump presidency could cause vs. a republican presidency is almost like contemplating what damage a nuclear war would cause (even if limited) vs. a conventional war.

12. Doesn't matter. Republican Party is badly split and splintering. Party itself is in peril.

If they choose Trump, a significant proportion will stay home or not vote for Pres or even vote for Hillary.

If they dump Trump, an even larger proportion will go third party or stay home and swear never to be Republican again.

Trump is too stupid to actually take over the Republican Party, so it could rebuild (a long time, say 8 years) after a Trump disaster.

Regardless, Democrats must vote and vote in large numbers. SCOTUS and Senate depend on it, and the Republican House is shaky.

than Trump could ever be on the right. Politically, though, most are deluded and self-deluded in exactly the same way many here on DU are and do. No accident that the propaganda that plays so well to their weaknesses works very well on many here too...

Since when did I raise any speculation or innuendo? I merely stated that if he doesn't go into her finances, she should be in the clear. How is that speculation or innuendo?
I don't understand where people get their reasoning from sometimes, I swear.
On second thought, do you know ANY business that is 100% clean? I surely do not.
