MADISON, Wis. — Democratic Wisconsin Senate candidate Russ Feingold is endorsing presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for president.

Feingold announced the endorsement in a statement Thursday, saying she won a hard-fought campaign and made history. He says it's clear she's ready to take on Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee.

Feingold is running against Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, who supports Trump for president but says that's different from endorsing him. .......................................

A Marquette University Law School this month showed Trump trailing Clinton in Wisconsin by 9 points among likely voters........................

14. Is it really news for each Democratic candidate who endorses the Democratic nominee?

I'd think the news is more if there are any who don't. A few are newsworthy, in that for example we'd like to hear Obama's comments when he endorses, but it seems basically close to universal that Democratic candidates will endorse Hillary over trump.

Don't want to rain on a parade, but.

But it's great to see Feingold running.
