Russ Feingold endorses Hillary Clinton

MADISON, Wis. Democratic Wisconsin Senate candidate Russ Feingold is endorsing presumptive Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton for president.
Feingold announced the endorsement in a statement Thursday, saying she won a hard-fought campaign and made history. He says it's clear she's ready to take on Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee.

Feingold is running against Republican Sen. Ron Johnson, who supports Trump for president but says that's different from endorsing him. .......................................
A Marquette University Law School this month showed Trump trailing Clinton in Wisconsin by 9 points among likely voters........................

(335 posts)I'd think the news is more if there are any who don't. A few are newsworthy, in that for example we'd like to hear Obama's comments when he endorses, but it seems basically close to universal that Democratic candidates will endorse Hillary over trump.
Don't want to rain on a parade, but.
But it's great to see Feingold running.

(3,205 posts)...and then apparently picked up by AP. All the news sources are going to be looking for something to talk about daily until we get to the conventions. Slow news day if Don the con isn't saying something stupid.
It's mostly posted here because we have people from MN here, and as MADem said it supports a message of unity.
