Trump cancels plans to visit his Doonbeg golf resort in Ireland

---Earlier this month, Trump announced that he would also fly to his Doonbeg golf links resort, but handlers for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee have revealed he was unable to schedule a visit to Ireland before heading home.

The billionaire is currently waiting for a decision on his plans to build a 2.8km (1.7 mile) wall on Doughmore beach as a sea defense for the resort, which he purchased for about 15 million euro.

Both surfers and environmentalists have been fighting to block the plans for the wall. The defense would be made of 200,000 tons of boulders along an environmentally sensitive stretch of coast, which is home to a prehistoric, microscopic snail.

There is also a right of way for surfers through the course, and some say the structure would destroy the natural wave breaks, the Irish Independent reports.
........................

However, this time many Irish politicians had openly objected to his visit, and protests had been planned for his arrival...............

I read an article a while ago. As you know Trump is a climate change denier--but this sea wall has to be built to prevent the golf course from being ravished by sea water--more so as the years go by.

No wall, no course. I never played the course before and it will not get my custom. And with Lahinch so close I don't see why I ever will.

Is Cheeto Jeesus attempting to bolster his foreign policy bona fides by visiting the resorts he owns in the United Kingdom?

And one of the countries ridiculed him, and the other country threatened him with enough ridicule that he cancelled his visit?

This campaign has got to be some kind of joke. This cannot be real.

sorry to say.

He is real, he has a real chance at being president, and he is the real deal. A world crass buffoon, a cheat, a serial liar, a blustering, arrogant, willfully ignorant, smug, pretender. That makes him precisely what attracts extremely low information voters and children raised outside Lake Woebegone.

I remain optimistic that the sum total of demographics that Trump has insulted and alienated will result in his sound defeat, if he somehow manages to hold on as the GOP candidate.

all the short-sighted down side to leaving.

But low information voters won the day. Does the EU need fixing? sure. But the UK leaving makes things worse for all. Actually, for the entire world.

Here on this side of the pond, witness the reactions to Orlando, with preachers screaming in joy that 50 sodomites were killed. By their god, in effect. Recall that a village idiot like Michelle Bachmann not only won her congressional seat twice, she ran for president and won the caucus in Iowa. Recall just how offensive and ridiculous (not to mention expensive) Sheriff Arpaio has been, not to mention costly for the state, because he is a racist, sexist, evil freak show with a gun and a badge. Who is also a big Trump supporter.

I have been repeatedly shocked by how many of my friends and relatives support Trump. Usually normal people, they think he is a success, he is rich, and he can get the job done. If you point out contrary facts, they shut their minds and ears.

One more thing to consider. Hillary is a lousy campaigner. She says so herself. Teh Don is superb at grabbing media attention, confusing issues, and telling lies. He is in a whole different category of pol. And he can still win.
