JERUSALEM: A Palestinian fatally stabbed a 13-year-old girl inside her home in a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank on Thursday, before guards shot him dead, the military and hospital officials said.
A member of the response team that killed the assailant was also wounded in the incident, said an official from the Kiryat Arba settlement, near the city of Hebron.
Over the past eight months, Palestinians have killed 33 Israelis and two visiting US citizens in a wave of street attacks, mostly stabbings. Israeli forces have shot dead at least 198 Palestinians, 134 of whom Israel has said were assailants. Others were killed in clashes and protests.
An Israeli military spokesman said the girl was attacked in her bedroom. Hospital officials in Jerusalem said she died of her wounds, giving her age as 13. Israeli media reports identified the suspected attacker as a 17-year-old Palestinian from a village near Kiryat Arba.

(37,748 posts)You should send those pictures to the girl's family. They may take comfort in your precious salt for their wounds.

(748 posts). . . but, ultimately, a waste of breath, I'm afraid, because, in the end, the "moral equivalence" Jew-haters aren't even trying to sell "moral equivalence."
For them, it isn't: "Killing Israelis = bad / Killing Palestinians = bad." Not really.
No, for them, it's simply: "Killing Jews = good." Period.

(23,091 posts)Tell me where the power lies? What this kid did to a 13 year old girl was totally heinous and it's awful that there's this level of hate. I feel for the child's family, they lost her and there's no fixing that. But, she's living on stolen land, against international law, her parents put her in danger. How would we feel if our land was stolen, our ability to work stopped and we were bombed constantly. Do you think we might hate the aggressor who stole our land, do you think this might fester and be exhibited in horrible ways years later? Until Israel gives back the land they stole, or seriously changes the situation by allowing freedom of movement and giving the Palestinians some dignity, the hate will continue to spiral and people will continue to be slaughtered indiscriminately.

(5,861 posts)In modern Israel/Palestine, we have a situation where 6 million people control the lives of another 3 million who are largely disenfranchised.

(19,473 posts)For that matter, large numbers of Israeli Arabs have citizenship, too. How much does that mean?
Would the posters who defend (because that's what they're doing) the murderous actions of Arab terrorists because of historically stolen land be as quick to defend an American Indian who committed similar crimes against non-Indian Americans, using the same justification?

(5,861 posts)Yes to the second part.

(11,841 posts)And even if that was a valid excuse, then why not attack military targets instead of a girl in her bedroom?
Because these are not normal "people"
Watch how this attack will be celebrated by the terrorists instead of condemned
