Dems unleash July Fourth attack on Trump
By Tim Devaney
....................
With the Star-Spangled Banner playing in the background, the DNC released an Independence Day-themed campaign ad Monday that criticizes Trump for manufacturing his luxury line of mens ties and dress shirts in China, Bangladesh and Indonesia, despite his many complaints about other companies that send jobs overseas.
..........................
The ad shows a recent campaign speech during which Trump calls for Americans to have more pride buying made in the USA, and then pivots to news clips of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee defending his decision to manufacture products overseas.
.............
Trump's dangerous and divisive campaign is as un-American as the products he manufactures anywhere but the USA, added DNC spokesperson Luis Miranda. "His deceptive campaign against the very business practices he uses is exactly why the American people should reject him in November, and a reminder he lacks the temperament to serve in our nation's highest office.

(12,265 posts)We need to be vigilant and be sure not to feel we have it in the bag. We need to get out the vote..but, going after Trump is so easy. He is a fascist pig who is being allowed to try and ruin the country just so the Republicans can get control of the White House. They will vote for anyone with an R in front of their name. Once again, popcorn and beer for everyone!

(5,902 posts)With all the voterID/restriction laws Rethugs passed in states across the country - many of them strategically enacted in swing states - Hillary has to run like she's 5 to 10 points behind no matter how far ahead she is in the polls.
I'm sure she knows that as well as anybody. This Bernie bro is counting on her.

(5,754 posts)have to pay for something that Republicans get for free. Just put a six pointed star on a tweet and the media belongs to you for a few days. You don't even have to open a factory in China.

(1,979 posts)I wish they would come right out and PUT HIS OWN WORDS OUT THERE. and then say "does this sound like the man you want leading the most powerful country in the free world?" and then contrast it against Hillary.
Or - Trump example, then GWB example, then Nixon Example
then
Hillary example, Obama example, Bill Clinton example
then - RESULTS OF THE LEADERSHIP!!! Economic, Health, War/Peace, etc...
If people could just remember, remember, remember......

(5,754 posts)across time, with colors changing from red to blue, and voice overs of the presidents below would do it for me. Whatever happened to the deficit anyway? That used to be the Republican talking point. Now I never hear about it. Hmmmmm wonder why.

(45,432 posts)the deficit has been reduced through cuts and from increased revenue from improvements in our GDP and overall economy. Which is about the best we can do in this political climate.

(5,523 posts)Just zoom in on one of his red hats to show the Made In China label. When will the left understand how to get a simple message across?

(56,828 posts)who can't go elsewhere put a "Made in America" label over the Made in China one. Didn't Team Bush do that in the early 2000s? The reboxed some manufactured goods and put "Made in America" on it for a photo op, but afterwards, people find out that they were really Made in China. of course, since it was post 9/11, criticizing the president was frowned upon in the media.

(28,787 posts)here in NC did not to my knowledge mention this at all. he'll be in raleigh today and what did they have on the news? a single die hard supporter queuing up by himself to see him.
point being they keep acting as if he's a viable candidate, viable in the sense of having the capacity to govern. i hate this bad movie.

(22,669 posts)and that will be the line we use when knocking on doors. "We need your vote desperately. Vote and give the democrats the chance to do great things, in 2016 & 2018. My sneakers are ready.
