The situation at the U.S. Capitol is now "all clear."
Earlier, the complex was placed on lockdown as authorities investigated a report of someone with a weapon outside. That lockdown has been lifted.
Police told NBC News that two people are in custody. One had a weapon in his waistband.
While the incident is still under investigation, there have been no reported shootings or injuries.

US Capital On Lockdown
The U.S. Capitol and its office buildings were locked down on Tuesday, according to police.
Staffers were notified in an email alert of police activity in the area, and ordered those inside the Capitol complex to find a safe location.
"The buildings are locked down. No one will be permitted to enter or exit the building until directed by Capitol Police," the advisory said.
Two House members coming off the floor both said they heard the security situation was a result of an incident nearby on 3rd Street.
Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind., said he heard someone who was at a traffic stop had a gun.
