Trump: Sanders turning out to be 'weak, pathetic'
Source: The Hill
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump slammed Bernie Sanders on Sunday, calling the Vermont senator "weak" and "pathetic."
"There is no longer a Bernie Sanders 'political revolution.' He is turning out to be a weak and somewhat pathetic figure, wants it all to end!" Trump tweeted.
"Sorry folks, but Bernie Sanders is exhausted, just can't go on any longer. He is trying to dismiss the new e-mails and DNC disrespect. SAD!"

I have to say that Trump's outreach to Sanders supporters is a bit unconventional. He just can't restrain his natural urge to be an a*****e.

(421 posts)So the Republicans are now on their knees slobbering over yet another Chickenhawk Chump with, what, 5 military deferments? What is the number? How many did Trump get when he was chickening out of service to America?
At any rate, Trump will always be remembered for issuing a debate challenge to Sanders, then turning tail and chickening out when Sanders immediately called his bluff.
I wonder if Bernie will remind Trump that, behind all the bluster, Trump is a "weak, insecure, pathetic" blowhard who once again chickened out when it mattered.

(6,133 posts)I've worked with this type before. They will compliment you to get you one their side (like Bernie) and trash you later. It doesn't matter to them. They will work in subterfuge to undermine others, all the time. It's how their brains are wired. They are the most dangerous people in any subgroup.
The first thing you do is stay away from them. Secondly, never believe a word they say. They are professionals at destruction unlike anything else. They are born that way, while others have to learn how to be evil.
It's very unfortunate that we have Trump up for president. If by chance he wins, I think it's probably the first time we will have a psychopath in the White House since Andrew Jackson.
Edit: this psychopath is working at a national level, and he is disrupting in the same way as what happens in subgroups. The national media thinks his opinion is and has always been important, and they are afraid of him. They want to stay on his side, or suffer the consequences. They are not up to the task of facing down a psychopath of this size, but Elizabeth Warren is. She is my hero.

(17,382 posts)If he starts to go to war with a federal judge or decides to freeze out media that he does not agree with, well that is that.
and Pence from Indiana (like me) wanted to start his own government media center to brainwash all of the hoosiers in that state about his hateful rhetoric. ugh. They both deserve each other. He must not become our President. Or he will be our last President because the country will be in a civil war.

There was a rally today in Philly, and I'm sure there were NeverHillary people and those who'll write-in Bernie's name. There were those who called Bernie a traitor for endorsing Hillary.
What will they say and or do regarding what this blowhard ignoramus of an asshole has now said about their preferred candidate?

(1,242 posts)unfortunately ........ I think he acts like a 5 th grade bully wanting a fight ....... Since responding and talking about feeds into his ego and become more combative also his supporters seem to like anger / fighting ...... Would it be better to ignore ?
just wanted to add that really is juvenile ....... seems like everything he writes means just the opposite in reality when he is trying to label a person

(498 posts)I think Trump really does not want to be President and he is trying to get Bernie supporters all rallied up and somehow get Bernie back in the race. I think Trump realizes that being President is going to be too much work and he does not want Hilary to be the next president. He is just doing too many things that would trigger political suicide in a typical election. You can call my bluff anytime.

(7,809 posts)doing with every interview, tweet, insult, and statement. High level manipulation and advertising....which, sadly, has proven to work very well not only in marketing of product but in politics. It's NOT only that he has a natural urge to be an 'asshole.' It's that he knows that being an asshole is his ticket to get over on investors, regulators, judicial system....and now, voters.
Lakoff's article is spot on. Domination / patriarchal marketing. Explains so, so, so, so, so much, including why he uses his kids and wife as much as he does in campaigning.

Really interesting (also dense, but worth it)...Hillary's very existence and her life's accomplishments are antithetical to the deeply ingrained, effective, father-figure buttons Trump is pushing. This is more than dem vs gop...more than left vs right...more than policy vs feeling....more than forward vs backward.....we / she are fighting ancient social systems backed by modern marketing and brain chemistry.
This stuff works. And the only antidote is to be aware of the manipulation and to counter it with high level advertising of your own. Doesn't need to be the same low, assholish strategy....our / her campaign needs to be aware of what it's up against and counter appropriately. Not being aware of the methods Trump is using is counting on being lucky.

There is no dealing with these people. You are an object to them. Something to be exploited and discarded for their personal aggrandizement. We've all worked with people like this.
The only solution is to avoid at all costs.
