But he's finding out that presidents -- and by extension, presidential nominees -- don't get that luxury when the topic is national security.

The GOP nominee tried to dampen controversy over his apparent call Wednesday for Russia to either stage an espionage cyber hack to find Clinton's deleted emails or to publish information it had already stolen.

"Of course I'm being sarcastic," Trump said in a Fox News interview that aired the day after his comments at a news conference in Florida sparked a national furor and offered ammunition for Democrats who claim he's not fit to be president................

When that did not work to stem the outrage, he went with the 6th grader's defense: "I was kidding!"

because he speaks at his rally to supporters on a third grade reading level and he has said "I love the poorly educated" , so giving a sixth grader's excuse matches the Repub nominee that is Donald tRump to a tee. For someone who brags about his Wharton education and how "smart" he is. He's very smart NOT. Truth be told, even a 12-year could come up with a better excuse than "I was kiddin'"

If one story doesn't work they simply try another one.

I'm not sure there really is a Donald Trump. He is just an empty sociopathic shell. Not very smart, no empathy, no morals, no conscience. There just anything there.
