Fire marshal responds after being called out by Trump at UCCS rally

Source: CBS 11News Colorado Springs

11 News spoke to Brett Lacey, who said the problem was with the event. He said organizers handed out too many tickets and there wasn’t enough space in the auditorium for that many people…

Lacey said crews evaluated the room on Thursday and decided about 1,500 people could safely fit in the room. Another thousand could be in the overflow room.

On Friday afternoon, Lacey decided another hundred could be let into both rooms. But, he told 11 News’ Katie Pelton it comes down to what’s safe.

“There’s an old adage that when a fire marshal walks into a room, milk curdles. So because we’re always looking out for public safety and trying to make certain venues go off successfully and safely sometimes there are people that aren’t very happy with some of the rules and regulations we’re required to enforce. But it doesn’t bother me at all,” he said.

Its all about the PR optics. He rents these relatively small venues and then hands out far more tickets than could ever be accommodated. He gets to brag that sooo many people came to see him because he's sooo popular, but the mean city officials were turning them away at the door.

If he was a huckster selling widgets on the home shopping channel he'd be urging the audience to hurry up and buy one because they were selling out fast.

He's got a history of not paying a LOT of people.

Wasn't there a venue last week that he threatened not to pay because it was too hot inside (they had to keep the doors open to getall of the people in).

For every minute of his life . . . up until now . . . Trump has been surrounded by people who kiss his ass, who tell him his shit doesn't stink, and who would give him a blow job in Macy's window if he demanded it.

Now, he's encountering people like this fire marshal who don't give a rat's ass who he is, they are not violating rules and endangering public safety for some paunchy, blustering piece-of-shit New Yorker.

Now that the Clinton machine has Trump in the crosshairs and now that the Clinton machine is piling on, how long before he blows his cork, has a heart attack, goes raving batshit crazy on camera . . .
